I am sure its not a blocgage I have. Tried the engine on muffs, got a strong tell tale. The Mercuty 60-HP BIGFOOT engine now has a new battery and a new flywheel. I also tested the two regulators I bought; both had defects. They failed the diode tests in the manual (shorted from yellow to red leads). The control box warning buzzer will tell you if a fault is logged via a series of beeps. I've never seen one fail on that model in the last 15 years as a Mercury tech. Make sure you are firing on all cylinders. Start the motor up, take a good pair of insulated pliers and pull the spark plug boots off of the plugs (very easy to do on this model) the motor might quit or drop 300-400 RPM.
